What this privacy notice covers

This notice explains what HUSHWELL collects when you browse or order, why we hold it, how long it stays with us, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website and any order placed through it.

The information we collect

  • Order details: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number and the items you bought.
  • Payment information: taken by the payment provider. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card, never the full number.
  • Account and cart data: what is in your basket, your past orders, and the record that you confirmed you are 18 or over.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site that referred you here.

Why we hold it

To take payment, pack and ship your order, answer questions, handle returns and refunds, keep bookkeeping records, and keep the site working. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use what you ordered to build advertising audiences or share it with marketing lists.

Who else sees it

Payment processors see what is needed to authorise and settle a transaction. Carriers see the name, address and phone number needed for delivery, and the outer packaging does not describe the contents. Our hosting and email providers process data on our behalf. Each of these receives only the part of the record their task requires.

How long it stays

Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Cart and browsing data are kept for a short period and then discarded. Age confirmation is kept with the order record, because that is what makes the record complete. If you ask us to delete something we are not required to keep, we will do so.

Your privacy choices

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything wrong, or ask us to delete what we are not obliged to retain. You can also ask us to stop sending order updates by email, though we will still contact you about an order in progress. Requests go to the address at the bottom of this page.
